Walnuts are a great food to include in your daily diet- they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and lots of other healthy nutrients that keep your brain functioning normally and promote overall health.

Why not include walnuts in a delicious nourishing milk!

Walnuts are creamy and buttery but they also have a lot of tannins, which is where most of the healthy antioxidants are contained-however it can be too much for the palate so we have balanced it out with pear juice for a perfectly sweet plant-based milk. You can also use fresh pears instead of pair juice. Try it out!

INGREDIENTS

Yield 1 quart (4 cups / 946 mL)

  • 1 cup walnuts (105 g)
  • 1 quart pear juice (946 mL)*

*If you want a milk that is less sweet, try using 3 cups (710 mL) of pear juice and 1 cup (237 mL) of water or use fresh pear.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Place walnuts in the NutraMilk container.
  • Press Butter cycle, set for 1-2 minutes.
  • Press Start.

  • Open the container lid, add pear juice. Replace lid.
  • Press Mix (do not change this default time).
  • Press Start.
  • Press Dispense.
  • Press Start and open spigot to fill your storage container.

*Notes: For paleo & whole 30 diets- use fresh pear or use approved juice.
